Jaded Eye was set up in 2010 by a group of british film and videogame nerds, to bring you our take on the latest movies and videogames- when we can get round to seeing them! We post a couple of reviews a week, usually on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and also produce a movie reviews podcast about once a month. It’s our mission to bring you a fresh and personal take on the releases of the day, maybe tell you something you didn’t know, and hopefully be entertaining while we do it.

In a nutshell:
Alex is one half of Jadedfilm.co.uk, a certified film and game nerd who at one time possessed more than 1000 DVDs and more than 40 video game systems, before the space constraints of London living forced him to pare down his collection to the esoteric essentials. Having taken the easier life of reviewing rather than creating, he spends most of his time ploughing through the latest Xbox 360 and Wii releases as well as devouring movies on DVD and at the cinema, with a particular penchant for console single-player RPGs and Zombie movies.

Top 5 films:

The Matrix
The Dark Knight

Top 5 Games:
MicroProse Formula One Grand Prix

In a nutshell:
Jim used to play lots of video games, but work got in the way. Now he plays a few video games, usually ones released about 6 months ago. He loves his Playstation and his Xbox equally, but believes the Wii might just signal the death of interesting computer games. Jim watches a lot of movies, with a soft spot for anything that tries something he hasn’t seen before, even if it fails miserably. Jim is very happy to have found a place to vent his opinions to anyone willing to read or listen.
